Job description

 Supporting the lead engineer/and or team: The engineer assistant serves to support the lead engineer or design team by performing a variety of tasks such as:

  • Preparing technical documentation: The assistant may be involved in the creation of technical drawings, schematics, 3D models, and other documents under the supervision of the lead engineer.
  • Data analysis: They may assist in collecting and analysing data needed for the project, such as site maps, weather data, construction requirements construction requirements, etc.
  • Research and support: The assistant can support the principal engineer in research related to new technologies, construction materials, sustainable planning, and other project aspects.
  • Client and supplier communication: the Assistant can assist in communicating with clients, suppliers and other stakeholders by answering questions, gathering feedback, and coordinating activities.
  • Technical support: They can assist with technical troubleshooting, research, testing, and evaluating the performance and cost of various design solutions.
  • Project management: In some cases, the assistant may be involved in managing small projects or project areas under the supervision of the lead engineer.

Requirements

  • Education: Technical education required, minimum Engineer.
  • Professional experience: Experience in a similar position preferred.
  • Technical skills: AutoCAD 2D and 3D design software (or equivalent program, e.g. Gstarcad) and other tools related to design and technical documentation are required. Knowledge of the BIM environment and 3D modeling (Revit, Navisworks, Robot) is desirable.
  • Knowledge of regulations: Knowledge of applicable legal regulations related to water management, environmental protection, construction, spatial planning and other related fields is welcome.
  • Communication skills: Good oral and written communication is required to work with clients, suppliers and other project team members.
  • Teamwork Ability: The Design Assistant must be able to work effectively in a team, collaborate with other design team members, and meet assigned deadlines and goals.
  • Creativity and problem-solving ability: Creativity is crucial in the design process, while problem-solving ability allows you to effectively deal with challenges that may arise during the implementation of the project. In design work, focus on solving problems and openness to searching for information are essential.
  • Organization and time management: The ability to effectively manage time and multitask is often crucial, especially when working on different aspects of a project simultaneously.
  • Interest in the construction industry: A willingness to learn and develop in the field of construction and related technologies is also an important asset.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail: Precision in work is required, especially when creating technical documentation, drawings and diagrams.
